Yesterday I was one of a few lucky bloggers to meet the amazing people behind the new Roberto Cavalli fragrance, Paradiso. I got the chance to sit with the perfumer behind the fragrance, an amazing British woman living in Paris called Louise Turner who took 2 years to create this unique scent. Paradiso is a floral – woody fragrance of the Mediterranean with heavenly bouquet that opens with citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin, blending with the floral heart of jasmine. I really like the dominant jasmine note as I found it to be very unique for the Cavalli house. Paradiso is really a WOW fragrance.
Lolita Lempicka reminds me of high school where everyone had the purple one (catch my drift?). Recently, the brand has launched a new Elle L’Aime a la folie fragrance and I just had to blog about it. The fragrance is really pleasant for evening wear, with hints of mandarin, bergamot and jasmine. A definite must-have!
Aspirational and mischievous, Eau Sucrée by Thierry Mugler is a delicious new interpretation of Angel, an olfactory candy, born of a whirlwind of tangy freshness and angelic delights. Appetizing, addictive and utterly desirable, its ingredients provoke contrasting effects with a profusion of taste sensations that echo each other: hot and cold, sweet and tangy, crisp and melt-in-the-mouth, fresh and sensual.
The bottle is so beautiful and made me reminisce and think of my high school days where I was so obsessed (me and every other girl) with Angel. This scent is quite close to it with a fruitier sweeter finish. YUMMY!
As Guerlain pointed out quite correctly, the ideal man is a myth…so instead they created the ideal fragrance! What I really like is that for the first time ever, Guerlain is using an almond note for men which sounds super interesting!! My favourite fragrance for men by Guerlain is Habit Rouge so can’t wait to get my claws on this one too.
I’ve always really loved Paco Rabanne fragrances because of their distinctive scents. With top notes like mango and orange blossom, the juice is very strong and preferably used at night. A really great perfume for women aged 25+ in my opinion, check it out! The bottle is amazing and the juice ages very well on the skin. LOVE !
I have recently received the new Agent Provocateur, FATALE fragrance and thought I would share my thoughts with you guys. I was pleasantly surprised actually…from what I know they don’t specialize in fragrances so I didn’t expect much but I loved the scent and packaging. Definitely a must-buy! It’s sweet with some chocolate, vanilla orchid and musk accords – yes yes yes!
Carolina Herrera always has great perfumes and this one is no exception. The new Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rose perfume is just great. This new fragrance is fresh, feminine and sensual and is made up of three accords:
CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ ACCORD: Champagne rosé takes pride of place among the top notes. Like a giggle, pink bubbles announce the festive, carefree tone of the fragrance. Fresh and very fruity.
PEACH FLOWER ACCORD: At the heart of 212 VIP ROSÉ we find peach blossom. These flowers, with their velvety fruit, add delicacy and tenderness to the fragrance. The perfect embodiment of femininity.
QUEEN WOOD ACCORD: Finally, and as the key base note, we have Queen Wood. Queen Wood is an addictive, elegant but subtle woody chord that provides the fragrance with a large dose of sensuality.
A great buy – durability is great too!
This is my first ever Thierry Mugler, which yes is super strange, and I’m so excited. I was a bit skeptical at first because even though everyone and I mean EVERYONE loved Angel, it smelled so bad on me. The new Alien eau extraordinaire fragrance is soooo good!!!! The floral, amber and woody tones really mixed well together in this fragrance – definitely a night scent. The perfume lasted a really long time and girls, longevity is important because no matter how good a fragrance is, if you cant smell it after one hour why would you want it?
This precious new flask reveals the golden champagne sparkle of eau extraordinaire. Like the other Alien bottles,
it was inspired By Gemstones and precious crystals, intense sources of energy and Light with mystical powers.
To be honest, I have never been that big of a Bottega Veneta fan whether its the fashion or the fragrances but I was happily surprised to try this new unisex eau de cologne, Essence Aromatique. It smells quite fresh but has a unique scent with top notes like bergamot, vanilla, white rose and coriander. The base has patchouli and sandalwood (not so special) but I must say, this one has my stamp of approval. The bottle and packaging is beautiful and elegant and the scent is quite long lasting. yes – yes – yes.
