Cosmetics brand Lancome delights us with a new collection Rouge In Love, which will consist of two lines: Rouge in Love (lipsticks) and Vernis in Love (nail polishes). I managed to get the pictures of the campaign and the product shots. Check out the below press release for the inspiration of the campaign. I really like the collection and agree with them that lipstick should get back in style with the new generation instead of gloss (so much more chic anyways). If I have one small tiny comment, I’m not a big fan of Emma Watson…I mean she was great in Harry Potter but I don’t know how much I like her as a “sex symbol” or a worthy celebrity or woman to be on the Lancome campaign. I just still see the unibrow girl with big thick curly hair and now she’s going out of her way to change her image to be respected as a sexy woman…too fast perhaps?
“The idea is to make this young generation — that has been a gloss fan — come back to using lipsticks. At the same time, they were complaining about the fact that the classical lipsticks were heavy on lips. So we invented a formula which is a brand new generation of texture that is at the same time very intense color and six-hour perfect wear.” – Youcef Nabi, president of Lancome International.
21-year-old actress Emma Watson is a face of this collection. Emma has previously collaborated with Lancome introducing perfume Tresor Midnight Rose.
Rouge In Love will consist of 24 lipsticks, which are distributed in 3 categories (8 lipsticks each): Jolis Matins, Boudoir Time and Tonight is My Night.
Jolis Matins. It’s easy, everyday lipstick with a delicate pearl shine for everyday use – mainly nudes.
Can’t wait to try this collection out.
