For Autumn 2012, Longchamp presents “More is More”. Channelling the indomitable spirit of Diana Vreeland, who famously declared, “Never fear being vulgar, just boring”, the season’s star bag collection is so daring and desirable that it keeps you wanting more and more.
“More is More” accumulates rich textures and refined details that indulge the Longchamp woman’s love of luxury. Lavish fur, exotic finishes and flashes of fluo are the signatures of a line that revels in rarity, adroitly treading the fine line between boldness and brashness, extravagance and excess.
For the six limited editions, “More is More” becomes most is most. Long-haired fox fur in chic camel is trimmed with khaki python-styled calfskin and walnut mock croc, electrified by a flash of fluorescent green faux shagreen, while mocha rabbit fur is illuminated by burgundy python and a pop of raspberry calfskin. Gold chain handles further ratchet up the glamour, but – true to the refined spirit of the collection – the metal is brushed and burnished, so the effect is bold, not bling. I included in this post the pieces I found funky and daring, not a huge fan of the rest but these ones are seriously GORGEOUS! I really like the one below.
