behold, the Cinderella collection by MAC has finally arrived at my doorsteps and I dropped everything I was doing to check it out. Firstly, I thought the packaging was really attractive and cute, it’s worth getting a palette just to look at it and it’s very different from the usually dark packaging you see from them. The first thing I tested was the stroke of midnight palette which includes 6 shades (vapour, phloof!, omega, quarry satin taupe and stroke of midnight). I really liked the textures of this palette and the colors available at perfect for a total light to dramatic smoky eye. My favorite sides on the palette are omega and quarry satin taupe because it’s not sheer, giving you a perfect understated smokey. The pigmentation is pretty good but that was no shocker with MAC. Below you can see the swatch test on my hand.
The second product enchanted me (pun intended) a bit less because I don’t think I’m professional enough in makeup to use it. The studio eye gloss (shade lightly tauped) is really nice and bold but I wasn’t a fan of the texture, too sticky for my liking. Again though, I think it’s more for professional use than day to day where but if you’re looking to pop with eye glitter and shine, that’s a good fix and the color is gorgeous – hand swatch text below!
For those of you living in KSA, know that the product will be available for a limited time only starting end of March!
